[Unit1] The Oval Office and the President's Desk:

The Resolute Desk that you can see in the Oval Office below was made from the timbers of HMS Resolute, an abandoned British ship discovered by an American vessel and returned to the Queen of England as a token of friendship and goodwill. Queen Victoria commissioned this desk and presented it to President Rutherford Hayes in 1880!

This desk is famous for its secret door.

A few presidents decided to use the Resolute Desk. Obama is one of them!
